Buenos Aires is becoming a real “Foodie Destination”. From traditional cafes to many fine dining restaurants making the list of the Top 50 Best in Latin America, you will find some wonderful restaurant choices. Our list includes:

Zum Edelweiss: This is a very old world German restaurant at Libertad 431 near Teatro Colon. It has very attractive wood paneled rooms. A great place for dinner before a performance at the Teatro.

Café Tortoni, Avenida de Mayo 829: Stop in for morning coffee in this great old world setting.

Cabana Las Lilas, A.M de Justo 550, 2nd fl.: This restaurant, featuring Argentinian grass fed beef, is located in the trendy Puerto Madero. I had one of my best meals ever. You must try the filet. It is featured in the book 1000 Places to See Before you Die by Patricia Shultz.

Remember to drink Malbec wines from Argentina. They are rich and full-bodied and really wonderful!

Sucre Restaurant: A contemporary restaurant with great food at Calle Sucre 676. It was listed as number 29 as the Best Restaurants in Latin America.

Making the list of the Top 50 Restaurants in Latin America are Tomo 1, La Cabrera, Oviedo, Chila, Sucre mentioned above, Aramburu, Pura Tierra, El Baqueano, Paraje Arevalo, Casa Umare and Elena at the Four Seasons Hotel.

Other good options recently reviewed include Miranda Parrilla ArgentinaFervor and Don Julio  which was named one of the World’s Best Restaurants by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna.
