Sebastopol is a charming town of approximately 7,400 people located in Sonoma County, 52 miles north of San Francisco. Here you will find:
Sunday Farmers’ Market: This is a local market every Sunday from 10 am to 1:30 pm in downtown Sebastopol featuring local farmers and food producers.
Peter Lowell’s Restaurant: Thanks to my cousin Nanci for this great recommendation. They feature organic, locally sourced food in an eclectic space just northwest of downtown. I enjoyed Sunday brunch with an excellent vegetable frittata with roasted tomato sauce, roasted potatoes and a salad with beet dressing.
If you need a break from all the wine, you might check out Muir’s Tea Room for a traditional English High Tea. 330 S. Main.
If you are in town in June, there are two weekend Open Studios where you can visit the area’s local artists sponsored by the Sebastopol Center for the Arts.
A local friend also recommends K&L Bistro at 119 S. Main for great food.
