Buenos Aires has some wonderful shopping. My favorite was shopping for great leather, pottery, textiles, cowhide rugs and pillows and folk art for my collection.

I particularly loved the indigenous textiles at Tierra Adentro and bought several wonderful pieces. They are located at Arroyo 946, Tel 4393-8552 near the Sofitel but on the opposite side of street.

Rossi & Caruso: This is a great leather store that I found in Recoleta at Posadas 1379. There are three locations in Buenos Aires. I bought a beautiful suede jacket.

Galerias Pacifico: Galerias Pacifico is the downtown shopping center that covers an entire city block along the Florida peatonal. In addition to wonderful stores, there is a nice food court for a quick lunch.

Feria Recoleta or Recoleta Fair, in front of the Recoleta Cemetery and the Buenos Aires Design Center on Saturdays and Sundays, offers souvenir and crafts in addition to food. A great place to visit!

Feria de San Telmo: Go to San Telmo on Sunday for the antique and flea market. It is really fun and you can find some great art finds. I found some amazing pieces in a gallery and also some pieces in the market. It is open from 10 am to 5 pm in Plaza Dorrego.
