El Rey Moro Hotel Boutique, Calle Lope de Rueda 14: I was really pleased with my hotel choice. This is a small boutique hotel in the Juderia, or the Santa Cruz, neighborhood in Seville. It was close to all of the sights, the shops, the restaurants and tapas bars. I could walk everywhere. The staff was extremely helpful in helping me find the places I wanted to see in town and restaurants I wanted to try. The rooms are attractive and clean and the breakfast, which came with the room, was served in the small restaurant and was quite good. There is free wifi, a business center, they provide free bottled water, bikes and a Segway to use and tea and coffee served from 5 pm – 7 pm each day. It also has a nice roof terrace with views of the Giralda. It was a very good value!!!!

Hotel Las Casas de la Juderia, Plaza Santa Maria La Blanca 5: I stayed at this hotel thirteen years ago on my first trip to Seville. It was a wonderful hotel, if you could actually find it after conquering the maze of streets. It seemed different to me, however, the reason is that the hotel has added two more buildings for more rooms. It is also now a four star property and the rates are higher than before. They also now have a property in Cordoba which I just saw on my trip there. It is also very attractive.

Hotel Casa 1800, Rodrigo Caro 6: I met a young American couple who were staying at this attractive hotel in the Santa Cruz area of Seville, close to where I was staying. It is a top rated hotel on Trip Advisor. You might check it out because of its attractive rooms and great location.

EME Catedral Mercer Hotel, Calle Alemanes 27: This is a very contemporary, design hotel directly located across from the Cathedral with a lot of color and high energy. It has seven bars and restaurants within its complex. It is a five star hotel so the cost is higher compared with some of the other options. If this doesn’t appeal to you, at least visit the roof top bar on the fourth floor where you can have a drink while enjoying some really amazing views of the Cathedral and Giralda.

Also getting good press include the Hotel Itaca, The Hotel Amadeus and the famous and very formal Hotel Alfonso XIII which just underwent a huge renovation.
