Friends in Aspen had raved about The Ruby of Crested Butte, a luxury B&B, so I had to try it on my recent trip. It has approximately six rooms and is a charming spot near downtown. The living room and upstairs seating and dining room were all very warm and comfortable as was my room. The breakfast, prepared by the owner, who is also a chef, was very good. 624 Gothic Ave.
My local friend suggests The Grand Lodge, near the ski mountain, as a good property. The Purple Mountain Bed & Breakfast is another good option, as is Elk Mountain Lodge and Scarp Ridge Lodge, all downtown. Scarp Ridge lodge is an all-includive, private lodge.
