There are many excellent hotel options in the area. If you are looking to stay in Yountville, check out Maison Fleurie, a Four Sisters Inn. Its sister property, Lavender is also in Yountville.

I was totally blown away bythe  Bardessono hotel, restaurant and spa in Yountville. It is sleek, contemporary and of totally green construction and LEEDS platinum certified. The bar and restaurant are very attractive. I visited with the staff and they were helpful and friendly. Let me warn you, the rates are fairly expensive and range from $450 to more than $1200 a night, depending on the month and season. It is an easy walk to the best restaurants in town.

In the past I have stayed  in two bed and breakfasts and at the Wine Country Inn, at 1152 Lodi Lane in St. Helena, which is well located to visit the wineries and restaurants.

Meadowood is a wonderful resort just outside St. Helena with an award-winning restaurant. I just heard the sad news that on September 29, 2020, a portion of the resort including the restaurant was destroyed in a wildfire in the area. I hope that it reopens soon.

In nearby Rutherford, you will enjoy Auberge du Soleil which is one of the best resorts in the US.

Other good Yountville properties getting great press and reviews include Hotel Yountville, North Block HotelVillagio Inn & Spa and Senza (formerly known as La Residence).

Local friends just stayed at the Wydown Hotel, which is a 12 room boutique hotel at 1424 Main St. in St. Helena, that opened in 2011.
