One of the highlights of my trip to Guatemala, was a side trip to Chichicastenango for the huge indigenous market. Here you will find handicrafts, ceramics and antiques. I bought a great number of Mayan textiles, some of which are used in the homes on their altars. Thank god for ATMs. They are really outstanding pieces and I could have purchased more. The market was really croweded with the local people shopping for the holiday as well as a large number of tourists. Casa San Juan was a good and quiet place for lunch. It is located at 4a Av Main Plaza in the Town Center
