Our restaurant finds include:

Paris Bar, Kantstrasse 152: More known for the crowd rather than the cuisine, this is a classic French Brasserie that opened in the 1960’s in old West Berlin.

Yosoy Tapas Bar, Rosenthaler Strasse 37: Casual but good Spanish tapas. A perfect spot for lunch in Mitte.

Transit – Asian Noodles, Rosenthaler Strasse 68: Sleek, contemporary Thai and Indonesian restaurant with really good food. The grilled pork noodles were great. I ate there twice!

Kaefer’s Restaurant Bundestag: A sleek, modern restaurant on the uppermost floor of the Bundestag or Reichstag. Offering creative German cooking, this is a great place to have lunch following your visit to the Reichstag. Check before you go since advance reservations may be needed to enter the building due to increased security.

Adnan Restaurant, Schluterstrasse 30: After visiting museums, antique stores or galleries, have lunch at this restaurant frequented by the business crowd in the area. I really enjoyed it.

Don’t forget the museum restaurants. If you are out all day often it is easy to grab lunch in one of the cafeterias or restaurants inside the museums. I had several great meals there!

Stilwerk, Kantstrasse 17: This design marketplace is located in a small enclosed mall containing four floors of furniture, design and home furnishings retailers. Great to see current European trends. There is a small café for coffee or a light lunch.

KaDeWe, Tauentzienstrasse 21-24: Kaufhaus des Westens, built in 1907, is the largest department store in Europe. The main attraction is the food and gourmet floor (6th) with everything you could imagine. A good place for a fast lunch, but is very crowded and noisy.
