I had to go to Luckenbach Texas “with Waylon, Willie and the boys,” based on the song made famous by Waylon Jennings in 1977. Founded in 1849 as a trading post, today this small hamlet, southeast of Fredericksburg, has a general store, bar and dance hall. They have music throughout the week, so grab a beer and sit outback under the old oak tree and listen to music.
