After years of decline, Detroit is coming back! I was very impressed with the emerging neighborhoods, the great restaurants, many new boutique hotels being built, shopping, street art, new distilleries and microbreweries and the great cultural institutions. You can see still some of the old vacant buildings and factories, but much progress has been made. I would definitely add it to your list of places to visit. I am already making plans to return!
