There are some great options for great food in Venice.
Make sure you stop in to Harry’s Bar at Calle Vallaresso 1323, for one of their famous bellinis.
Stop in at Caffe Florian for a coffee, lunch or snack. During Carnevale many there were in costume so it was magical. In the summer you can go at night and listen to music coming from all of the surrounding cafes.
Pensione La Calcina: It is a charming hotel that I highly recommend. It has a great bright restaurant for breakfast and a wonderful cafe, outside over the water, for lunch or dinner.
Since 1894, make sure to try Antica Carbonera on Calle Bembo in San Marco with its lovely interior and good food.
Restaurants getting good reviews include Trattoria Antiche Carampane, Grancaffè Quadri, Osteria le Testiere, Ristorante al Covo at Campiello della Pescaria Castello 3968 and Ristorante Lineadombra.
