To the East of downtown is Evergreen Brick Works, a former brick works or factory that has been turned into a community environmental center. You can tour the old factory, see interesting graffiti, tour an art exhibition, eat at the restaurant Cafe Belong, shop at the store featuring local items or catch a film in the evening. You can also walk, hike or bike along the river. On weekends there is a farmers market, cooking classes and other family-oriented activities.
