There are some great classical music concerts and venues when you are in Krakow.
Chopin Concerts: The Polish composer, Frederic Chopin, is featured in several concert venues. I enjoyed a delightful concert on my last night in town. They are held at The Bonerowski Palace, 1 SW Jana St., or in other venues nearby. Featuring instructors or students of the Cracow Academy of Music, I saw an instructor perform wonderful Chopin muzurkas, waltzes and polonaises in an one hour performance.
There is also the Royal Chamber Orchestra that performs concerts in the Church of St. Adalber. Check out the website for Pro Arts Cracow Concerts; they also feature folk music, dancing and Klezmer music.
There are also Chopin concerts in Dom Polonii, at Rynek Glowny 14, which is a restaurant and has a concert venue upstairs. Check out Cracow Concerts in Beautiful Churches featuring Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons and works by Brahms, Dvorak, Bach, Grieg, Mozart, Chopin and more. They perform at St. Peter and Paul’s Church, 54 Grodzka St., and concerts last one hour.
You might also check out the schedule for the Krakow Philharmonic which performs at Zwierzyniecka 1 or the Krakow Opera which performs at Lubicz 48.
