London is a great city for shopping.

For the man, walk the stores on Jermyn Street where you find the best in shirts and ties and other men’s clothing. I also love walking through the Piccadilly Arcade which is nearby. The best stores for men include Hawes & Curtis, Gieves & Hawkes, Hilditch & Key, Harvie & Hudson and Church’s English Shoes. Also, check out Burberry.

Fortnum and Mason, 181 Piccadilly: The great store for tea, coffee, chocolates, biscuits (cookies) and other specialty grocery items. They also serve afternoon tea!

Harrods: Don’t miss the amazing food hall and if you are there after Christmas do not miss their big January sale!

Near Harrods is Beauchamp Place. I have always liked the antique shops and restaurants. The Map House, at #54, is always fun to explore. It has great maps and some wonderful prints.

Reject China Shops: Check out one of six locations for great deals on English china.

Portobello Road: I explored Portobello Road on Saturday for the weekly antiques market. There are shop tables and stalls which sell antiques, silver and china and everything else in between.

Silver Vaults: I really enjoyed visiting the Silver Vaults in the City of London which is the one of the largest sellers of new and antique silver anywhere.
