The Tucson Historic Preservation Foundation has worked to document, study and preserve the city’s unique, mid-century neon signs. They have restored a collection of these classic signs that had been salvaged over the last decade. The signs have been installed along West Drachman St. between Oracle Road and Stone Ave., once part of the historic historic alignment of US Routes 80 and 89 and
Arizona Route 84, which ran through the middle of Tucson. I suggest going on their website and downloading the map and taking a tour of these fun signs.
