In addition to exploring the historic downtown area with hotels, shops and restaurants, the island has some fun marinas to visit, plus some lovely beaches. Make sure to drive to the south end of the island and see the Port Boca Grande Lighthouse and Museum dating from 1890.
If you have time, make sure to visit Whidden’s Marina from 1926. This is an old marina and store that also has some exhibitions and historic photos to see.
