Santa Fe has some excellent options at both ends of the affordability spectrum. I think you will like:
El Rey Court: The El Rey Court is located north of the Plaza 1862 Cerrillos Rd. I have stayed there several times in the past when it was the El Ray Inn. It has been totally updated with a new hip, contemporary design. They also expanded by taking over the neighboring Alamo Court motel. Built along the original route 66, El Rey Court officially opened its doors in 1936. It has 86 rooms in historic adobe structures, a pool and a new bar, La Reina. I would love to stay there on my next trip.
Inn of the Five Graces, 150 E. DeVargas St.: A wonderful, small boutique hotel with furnishings from Central Asia and other cultures.
Bishop’s Lodge Resort, 1297 Bishops Lodge Road: This is an Auberge Resort and spa that has been a favorite for many years from the 1920s. It is a few minutes drive north of the Plaza. It has been totally renovated and re-opened in early 2021. They also have a new gourmet restaurant, SkyFire, by Chef Pablo Peñalosa. I am excited to try it on my next trip to the area.
Inn of the Anasazi: A Rosewood property, just off the Plaza, at 113 Washington Avenue. A lovely property with small sitting rooms and a very good restaurant. For private functions, the downstairs wine cellar is the perfect spot.
The historic Hotel St. Francis is considered one of the top boutique hotels in town at 21o Don Gaspar, a block from the Plaza. It’s restaurant Tabla de Los Santos and Secreto Lounge have received good press also. They have a lovely outdoor patio.
The Vanessie Santa Fe is small inn located two blocks north of The Plaza. It has 18 nicely decorated guest rooms and suites plus a popular restaurant and bar called Fenix, featuring live music several nights a week.
The Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado Santa Fe is located north of The Plaza in a beautiful high-desert setting. It is located near Tesuque Village and the Santa Fe Opera. It has a spa, bar and the Terra Restaurant. They do offer shuttle service to nearby restaurants and to downtown Santa Fe.
