Located four hours southeast of Salt Lake City, UT and just under two hours southwest of Grand Junction, CO, Moab is a city of approximately 5,200 in eastern Utah. It is a popular gateway to the massive red rock formations in Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park which features mesas and buttes carved along the Green and Colorado rivers.
Moab has many things to do for those interested in outdoor activities, culture and art and in touring the beauty of the area. It also has some great dining and lodging options. It can be very crowded and hot, so pick a time of year when the temperatures are somewhat cooler and when it is less crowded.
