Tombstone Arizona is a popular tourist destination, that is worth a stop on the way to Bisbee. There are stagecoach rides, western shops for cowboy hats and apparel, old saloons, places to take photos in period costumes. It is a perfect spot for families. You can also tour the old Court House which is a State Park. You can even experience a daily reenactment for the famous Gunfight at the O.K. Corral and visit where the gun battle began.
Did you know that there are wines being produced in Arizona. Stop in at the Tasting Room for Silver Strike Winery at 334 E. Allen St. Ask for Jann Bengel the winemaker. I tried two good tempranillos. I liked both, but the one from the aged oak barrels was the best.
For those interested in trying some local Arizona wines, you might check out the nearby Sonoita and Elgin Wine Trail. I went on a tour on my last trip to the area and really enjoy the tasting. Check out my recommendations at Sonoita Arizona Wine Country.
Wyatt’s Coffee House: Stop in for coffee while you walk and tour the downtown area. 109 S. 3rd. St.
